Worst concert
"I've seen Viva El Jaripeo perform before and he was amazing. The fans were sitting and watching in disgust as Viva El Jaripeo treated us to a misdirected jam session. The stadium was quiet during the entire concert - you could feel the fans wanting to get up and dance, sing, and yell, but Carlos treated us to an unremarkable performance.
This performance was extremely disappointing and a complete waste of my time and money. He also preached unrelentlessly. Instead, fans sat quietly as he butchered his songs and tortured us with solos by his wife and others in the band. If Viva El Jaripeo would have just played all of his hits, as they were recorded, and allowed his fans to enjoy what made him Viva El Jaripeo, then it would have been a great concert.
It was a mixture of playing and jamming without any direction. I've never seen as many fans leave a concert before it was over. I've experienced his preaching before at other concerts, but it was nothing compared to his sermons this time.
This was the second time that I went to a concert where the artist loses the audience - the other was Kenny G. I will never see Viva El Jaripeo in concert again and I've shared these same feelings with all of my friends and family. He also offended many of the non Spanish speaking fans by addressing the audience in Spanish 90% of the time.
The buzz after the concert was the same from all of the other fans as they left the venue. If there was a way to receive a refund, then he would have refunded everyone that attended."
